P.E
About The Class
Freshmen year P.E was something not a lot of people wanted to do. Most of us did not want to swim. In my opinion whoever never got in the pool missed out because it was a great experience. I learned how to swim a little bit better and I got to have fun in the pool with my friends. First semester of P.E could’ve been better if everyone decided to get in the pool and enjoy the class.
Also, during swim we learned how to float with our heads down. We also learned how to blow bubble so that we can swim with our heads under water. It wasn’t the easiest but it was fun. Towards the end of first semester everyone started getting along more and some of us played basketball. Someone’s we had to run around outside and it was hot most of the time so not many people ran.
Second semester started off easy. All we would do was warm up and sit down because the class wasn’t listening. After some time we all started listening more and we started playing basketball. A lot of people would play basketball and the rest of us would just hang out in the bleachers. The first month or two of second semester was pretty easy.
Towards the middle of second semester we had to start getting ready for our test. We started doing push ups and sit ups more. After practicing for a while we took the sit ups and push ups test. Both tests were pretty easy and quick. After the push ups and sit ups we had to do the mile.
Most people walked the mile and didn’t get the best grade for it. Finally we were done testing and we were able to just hang out again. It is now getting towards the end of second semester and we are now running from the bleachers to the wall and then doing sit ups. P.E is now kind of easy because we are done with swim and with our tests. Those parts of P.E this year were pretty fun.
Now we just finished making weights. We made weights out of rice, beans, water bottles, cement and so many other stuff. We all got very creative with the weights. The weights had to be made at home and brought to school to show everyone. I was very surprised about everyone being so creative with making weights.
To make my weight I bought a pound of rice and I got a finished water bottle. I put the rice into and empty water bottle. My homemade weight weighed about 1 pound. A lot of people brought in weights that were way heavier than mine. Making weights is a fun and easy way to work out at home.
Overall this P.E year was fun and exciting. We got to learn how to swim in different ways in the pool. We also worked out to do more push ups and sit ups. Another thing we did was push ourselves to run a mile. Lastly, we learned how to make weights to be able to work out at home.
